The moment Andrew Tate fled Romania on bail, Florida governor Ron DeSantis announced he was launching a criminal investigation into both Andrew Tate as well as his brother Tristan Tate. DeSantis said Tate is “not welcome in his state”.
Conservative speaker Jordan Peterson, another darling of the right, has previously denounced Andrew Tate as “a pimp and the lowest possible lifeform”. When men like Peterson and DeSantis go this hard after you, I find that telling — inviting the Tate brothers into your political movement is akin to asking Ted Bundy to be your college student daughter’s doctoral advisor.
And sure, while Andrew Tate is popular with some young conservatives — just as he is popular with quite a few young men, regardless of political leanings — this does not mean the “old guard” of actual conservatives don’t seem him as a complete degenerate. Because the man is literally a pimp. That’s what he is. And it is hard to root for pimps, especially when they chain hookers to their bedposts and hold women captive, forcing them to create OnlyFans material and then flee the country that prosecutes them while still on house arrest awaiting trial…
